Shelby and her husband purchased their first home tucked in the heart of Appalachia, where the pace of life slowed just enough for her to finally pursue art full-time. After High school, she explored several career paths, none of which ever felt quite right. It wasn’t until years of hearing “you should really do something with your art” that she decide to lean in, refine her skills, and fully commit to building a career around her creativity.

Deeply Inspired by the land around her, Shelby’s work often reflects the values and charm of traditional living - rural life, working animals, and the connection between people and place. The homestead lifestyle continues to shape not only her daily life, but also the subjects and stories she brings to the canvas. Through her art, she hopes to preserve a bit of the hardworking, honest way of life that has always quietly inspired her.
